CALL 1-800-USA-1776 FOR A GREAT TIME IN LAS VEGAS
Last May, many
of you participated in one of the most thrilling events in the history
of the freedom movement, the FEE National Convention in Las Vegas.
Nearly 900 paid attendees, 100 speakers and 60 exhibitors made it
a spectacular weekend. Alex Green, editor of the Oxford Club
Communique, said, Ive attended conferences all my
life, but this was by far the best. Nathaniel Brandon said,
I feel an electricity here that I havent sensed at libertarian
meetings in years.
Many attendees
have asked me when the next convention would be. They cant
wait to attend. I have good news: FreedomFest 2003 will take place
Nov. 69 at Ballys/Paris Resort in Las Vegas, and you
are invited to attend. This year the national convention will be
hosted by the Liberty Foundation, publisher of Liberty magazine.
Here are some of things we have planned for the Liberty National
Convention, or FreedomFest:
Four glorious
days (Thursday through Sunday) of Great Ideas, Great Books,
and Great Thinkers. FreedomFest will be THE intellectual feast
of 2003, where the worlds best and brightest authors, students,
business people and libertarian/conservative think tanks will meet,
learn, create and network.
You are invited
to participate as a speaker, exhibitor or attendee. Over 100 speakers
will take part, including writers for Liberty and Reason
magazines, dozens of think tanks such as the Young Americas
Foundation, actor Ben Stein, economist Art Laffer, Alan Reynolds
(Cato Institute) and many others. Contact us at the number below
if you would like to participate as a speaker, exhibitor or attendee.
Special breakout
sessions in philosophy, economics, history, finance, law, religion,
and science and technology. Major debates on the role of government,
war and the military, science, and religion, etc. (We have reserved
an entire room for debate topics throughout the conference.)
Liberty
Editors Conference, hosted by Bill Bradford and Liberty magazine
editors.
Financial
Freedom Seminar will be held in Las Vegas Room #7 throughout
the conference, offering investment and tax advice from some of
the biggest names in finance.
Special
addition: Bright New Stars Room, where you will listen to up-and-coming
authors, professors and thinkers.
Nationwide
TV coverage. C-SPAN Book TV is planning to send two crews!
Laissez
Book Fair! Dozens of libertarian/conservative authors will discuss
their books, available for sale at the FreedomFest Bookstore and
by other publishers.
Over 70
exhibit booths: think tanks, colleges, book sellers, freedom
organizations, etc. This year the exhibit hall will be located within
the ballroom, so attendees will be able to mingle with exhibitors
during the general sessions.
Continental
breakfast and a luncheon buffet included in the price of attending
the convention.
A spectacular
Saturday night Liberty Banquet (November 8), with a
major keynote speaker (TBA). Music by the Dave Phillips Band.
Early-bird
special: only $195 per person (before July 1), which includes
all general sessions, workshops, cocktail reception, continental
breakfasts, luncheon buffets, program, handouts, etc. Student price,
only $99 (scholarships available).
