High Finance on a Low Budget

High Finance on a Low Budget
(Dearborn Financial Publishing, c. 1997, $24.95)

Co-authored with wife Jo Ann Skousen, this book is in its seventh edition and is an excellent primer on getting started in investing. A main selection of the Money Book Club.

A guide to investing explains how to keep a budget, build a savings program, invest in real estate, get started in art collection, purchase a diversified portfolio in gold or silver for only fifty dollars, and more.

“With so many copycat financial books flooding the market, this little book stands as an original. Much of the information is elementary, but the book’s value is its breadth and its practical “how to” bent.” — Amazon.com customer and reader

I read this book many years ago and am happy to see that it is still available. I can’t tell you how often I hear people say that they can’t afford to save, invest, etc in this current economy. Interesting enough, I have friends on both ends of the financial spectrum and trust me, they all are struggling. This book gave me hope many years ago and I expect that it will be just as informative and inspiring today.
