		<description>Fact: Ayn Rand was basically an &quot;ethical egoist&quot;.  This means that she followed two guiding principals: (1) Self interest WITH integrity, and (2) NOT &quot;sacrificing&quot; others to reach an end.  This infers that only selfish acts with LONG TERM benefits are acceptable... you can&#039;t become a thief and claim you&#039;re an ethical egoist. 

Integrity, by the way, means &quot;consistency of actions, values, principles and outcomes&quot; -- the opposite of hypocrisy.</description>
